The World NCD Congress's mission is to stimulate multisectoral research, learning communities, and collaborations that will utilize a data-to-knowledge-to-action paradigm to improve, promote, and preserve health among all. The scientific program will unite basic, clinical, data and implementation science approaches to examine how to translate research from these domains into policies that can promote health and prevent chronic disease and disability. All delegates will explore how such approaches may be applied in practice locally, nationally, and internationally.
In partnership with the World NCD Federation, the projected 1,000 international participants of the World NCD Congress will include health sciences faculty and trainees, epidemiologists, community health workers, clinicians, urban planners, policy makers, patient educators, data scientists, nutritionists, engineers, behavioral scientists, public health practitioners, NGO employees, and members of private industry.
The theme for the World NCD Congress is Knowledge to Action:Preventing Noncommunicable Diseases At All Levels.
